The Write Stuff vol. 7

pardon my french

a philosopher named Jean Paul Sartre
said there was no raison d'etre

a friend of his named Jean Genet
lived a life that was toujours gaie

Simone de Beauvoir looked at men
and said we should cherchez la femme

Pablo Picasso had no hair
but he always knew how to savoir faire

Anais Nin blew a fart
and kept it as an objet d'art

de Gaulle was so tall he had to be
the one and only maitre d'

Albert Camus sadly saw
something he called je ne sais quoi

Edith Piaf had to leave
because she died of joie de vivre

Bridget Bardot couldn't see
how clubbing seals was c'est la vie

Mata Hari was called a whore
because she had esprit de corps

Sarah Bernhardt couldn't dance
so she said let's vive la difference!
