ELEGY

For Terri Moore

All things die
I cannot keep you
from your solution.
The place is Golgotha
the heart is full
as any river
as any eye.
I’ll let you go
to the singing stars
to the hurtling of day into night.
I let you go,
Isn't that what love asks?
