TRUTH
What good is truth
if words tumble you.
Moses' tablets hurled
from Babel's tower.
Dervishes
twirling meanings.
Ravings
boxing in Pandora.
Cassandra
prophesying endings.
Not even for love's sake
can I whisper in your ear
those lies you wish to hear.
